GCWA Board of Directors Meetings

The Gulf Coast Water Authority Board of Directors Meetings will be held in the GCWA Administration Building Boardroom and in the GCWA Virtual Boardroom.

The Board of Directors may occasionally meet in an alternate location. Notice will be provided on the posted agenda.

The member of the Board of Directors presiding over the meeting will be physically present at the meeting location. This meeting will be conducted in person and by videoconference in accordance with the provisions of Section 551.127 of the Texas Government Code. The meeting location will be open to the public during open portions of the meeting.

The public will be permitted to offer comments as provided on the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting. During a public comment period, any person may address the Board of Directors in person or virtually. Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code does not authorize a governmental body to discuss or act upon subjects not included in the meeting agenda.  Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. 

Members of the public requesting to offer comments are asked to submit a Request to Address the Board form. If attending in person or virtually, attendees may submit the request via the GCWA website at least two (2) hours prior to the posted meeting.  Forms will also be available at the meeting location for those attending in person.

The Board may convene in a closed meeting (executive session) to deliberate as authorized by Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, including but not limited to, Sections 551.071 (consultation with attorney), 551.072 (deliberation regarding real property), 551.074 (personnel matters), or 551.076 (deliberation regarding security devices). Subsequent action resulting from an executive session will be taken in open session.
